Crank

In this case, I am going to design a crank which has a similar shape as mine. It is from a bike, so It has to bear about 1000 N (weight= 100 kg and gravity 9,81N/m^2).
It is made up of aluminium alloy known as Aluminium 6061 T6. According to the experts, this alloy and Aluminium 7005 are the most used for making some parts of the bicycles.

One of the keys for the mechanical design is the yield strength which is 2,76*10^8 N/m^2 for Aluminium 6061 T6.






The support is in the square how you can see in this picture

The force is applied to 75 mm (in the middle of a handle) from crank.



Here you can see the stress . The worst stress is 2,63*10^8 wich is smaller than 2,76*10^8 N/m^2 (yield strength)





In this picture you can look at the displacement.


I want to show you a video which you can see the mesh for this piece and the moviment too.





Finally, I would like to explain that we should design this kind of items thoroughly because they must be enough strength but they have to be light too.

Bridge

This is a piece which has a finished shape. I am goint to show you its Structural Analysis with Catia.

First, I am goint to show you the mesh which has this piece.


 This piece has been put down with 10^6   N/mm^3 . It is also made up of brushed metal.


Now I am going to upload the tension and displacement.
Actually, Catia can show a lot of pictures, but from my point of view both of these pictures are the best.

Rendering car.

There is a car which I made three months ago, from my point of view it is nice, but in fact it can improve a little using photo studio with catia. I have added background, ground and more light.

Ball Cock


This is a ball cock. An assembly very useful that you can see in some place sfrom time to time . For example, I have an ballcock like this gadget in my yard.

Press Assembly

This is other assembly for pressing anything like the vice  assembly . However this assembly has more pieces than vice  so the press assembly is more complex.
